  • 19.6

Mohammed Siraj to Vijay Shankar. Half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control to long off for 1 run, fielded by Kohli.

Rishabh Pant has continued his sensational form to help Delhi post an impressive total of 181/4. An early double-strike by Yuzvendra Chahal left the hosts in a spot of bother, but the left-handed Pant took the attack to RCB with an array of devastating strikes. Abhishek Sharma then took over the reigns with an equally audacious 46 from just 19 deliveries. RCB will need to score at more than nine an over if they want to realistically keep their slim playoff hopes alive. It should be a thrilling chase.

  • 18.6

SIX! Trent Boult to AB de Villiers. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. That's how you seal victory in style, AB thumps one into the crowd as a souvenir of his superb knock.

Two modern greats of the game combined in devastating fashion to help RCB make a difficult chase look fairly simple. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers struck fluent half centuries in a partnership of 118 that was a treat for all to see. Rishabh Pant's earlier fireworks threatened to take the game away from the visitors, but he couldn't kick on after reaching his half century. That means Delhi Daredevils are officially unable to reach the playoffs in what has been a very disappointing season for them. RCB are still alive and kicking, however, and if they can repeat batting efforts like the one this evening they are still in with a great chance of going all the way.

The juicy full toss makes it easier on this occasion.

OUT! Caught. Harshal Patel to Sarfaraz Khan. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot Scoop, in the air uncontrolled to fine leg, by Shaw. Executes the scoop well but there is a man really fine who takes the catch. That's extraordinary, I think Sarfaraz maybe wasn't aware there was a fielder there and he pays the price. He hit the shot as well as he could've hoped but still loses his wicket for it.

OUT! Bowled. Trent Boult to Mandeep Singh. Length ball, to leg on the front foot flick, missed to. Boult strikes with his first ball back into the attack, but it might be too little too late for the hosts. Mandeep was aiming an ugly heave to leg but the ball skidded through to beat him for pace and make a big mess of the stumps.
