That will be that for India's innings and a job well done for Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad this morning. Conditions are favourable for bowling and India were able to add just 22 runs this morning before losing their last four wickets. England's batsmen will have to work hard in overcast conditions with the ball swinging a long way but they have made the perfect start to day two.

So that's all folks, a convincing win for India in the end. Kohli once again starred with the bat and Pandya and Bumrah each took five wicket hauls with the ball. For England the damage was done in the first innings when they were bowled out in a single session. Buttler's maiden test century ultimately served only to delay the inevitable here in Nottingham. The day started and ended with the Indian fast bowlers taking wickets but in the middle there was solid resistance from two players who have conquered the white ball game. A maiden test century for Buttler and Ben Stokes' slowest test match 50 kept the Indian attack at bay for a long time until the second new ball was taken. Bumrah was impressive and it was him who eventually broke that stand. An injured Ashwin wasn't as effective as usual and England have batted the whole day, but barring a freak thunderstorm India will surely take this test match tomorrow morning. Until then, goodnight.
