India finish on a mammoth 202-3 thanks to 80's from Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan and a cameo at the end by captain Virat Kohli. New Zealand were not at their best with the ball or the field and they gave the batsmen multiple chances. The pitch looks nice to bat on against the seam but the two spinners were finding a touch of grip which will interest India's slower bowlers. The Kiwis will have to bat very well to chase this down.

There it is, India win by a mammoth 53 runs. New Zealand never looked at the races with India taking control in the powerplay with a couple of early wickets. From then on it was always an uphill battle with Latham top scoring with 39 but it wasn't at much more than a run a ball so the run-rate was always increasing.
The Indian spinners were the stars with Axar Patel taking 2-20 from his four overs and they go 1-0 up in the series with two to play.
