Not quite 350 for India but they weren't far off. A terrific display from them after a tough start in bowler friendly conditions. Three batsmen passed fifty with the one stand out effort being that of Shreyas Iyer. His maiden ton included 11 fours and a maximum and he was involved in a couple of very big partnerships.
Not the best effort from New Zealand although the pitch looks very flat once the ball goes soft. The home side will have to break a record if they are to win today as their highest chase against India is only 280. Will be an interesting second innings so join us after this short break.

What a game and a brilliantly timed chase from New Zealand, although it got a little tight at the end. Ross Taylor played a superb knock to get his team over the line and along with Tom Latham they all but finished the game. Credit also to Henry Nicholls for getting his side off to a good start but Virat Kohli will not be happy with his team in the field or with the ball. Too many loose deliveries and sloppy fielding gifted too many runs so they have a lot to clean up before the next match.
