Once the procession started it had an air of inevitability about it, meaning the hosts require just 216 to seal the series. Sri Lanka will have to produce some magic to prevent that.

They are a juggernaut of a team and even after losing the first match, it was never really in doubt that they would turn things around.
Shikhar Dhawan's sublime 12th ODI century has secured yet another series win for India at home. The left-handed opener clinically cruised to the landmark after sharing a huge partnership with Shreyas Iyer (65) in pursuit of an under par 215. The hosts didn't have it all their own way though, and might have had a few nerves when Sri Lanka got off to a flier first up through Upul Tharanga (95). Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav settled things down for the hosts with three wickets apiece as the visitors fell away badly in a lower order collapse. Attention will now turn to the shortest format as these sides battle it out in a three match T20I series.
