Time for lunch on Day Two after a crazy morning session. Sri Lanka will have been hopeful of finishing off the Indian innings quickly, especially after taking a wicket in the second over of the day, but they were instead subjected to a devastating assault by the brutal Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder took his time initially with Kuldeep Yadav for support, and then launched into overdrive with the final two for company. He smashed seven maximums and remains not out at the break, ready for more destruction upon the resumption. The hosts will be deflated by that display, the captaincy especially left plenty to be desired.

What a dominant display it has been by Virat Kohli's side, a massive margin of victory in the end. After three wickets in the first hour, a three day finish always looked to be on the cards. Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal held up the tourists for a while, but in the end nothing could prevent a crushing loss for the hosts.
Over the course of this three match series India have shown why they are such a juggernaut of a side in the subcontinent. Their talented batting order makes big contributions and their bowling attack extracts every ounce of assistance from mostly benign tracks. The next challenge on their horizon is to replicate that form in more alien conditions.
For Sri Lanka, the story is a different one. They have some hard thinking to do about how to take this team forward. There is some talent at their disposal, no doubt, but the way they have folded in this match and series will be of concern. At times they have looked out of their depth, but a few injuries have made life harder for them.
