  • West Indies and India have faced off 11 times before in men's T20I matches, India winning six matches whilst West Indies have managed to record five victories; India have claimed wins in each of the last four however.
  • West Indies and India have played each other twice before in this format at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida, USA; the Windies claimed a dramatic one-run victory in the initial 2016 encounter but suffered a four-wicket loss to India there yesterday.
  • This will be the seventh time that West Indies have played a men's T20I game at the Florida venue, after winning their initial three matches, they have since been defeated three times on the bounce there.
  • West Indies come into this encounter having suffered defeats in 10 of their last 12 men's T20I games (W2); they have lost all four of their matches in this format so far in 2019.
  • West Indies require one more victory to reach 50 in men's T20Is, seven other sides have already reached that milestone; Afghanistan are also currently sat on 49 wins.
  • Rohit Sharma (India) has logged more runs in men's T20I matches between his side and West Indies than anybody else (from either team); scoring 358 in such matches, 126 more than the next-placed batsman.
  • Only three men have managed better T20I figures on debut for India than Navdeep Saini, he claimed 3/17 in the series opener against West Indies and also came away with the most dot balls of any bowler in the previous encounter.
  • Both West Indies openers were dismissed for ducks in the series opener with India (Campbell & Lewis); it was only the second time this happened to the Windies this format (Gayle and Walton v NZ, Jan 2018).
  • Sunil Narine is set to make his 50th T20I appearance for West Indies, becoming only the eighth man to reach that milestone for them; he managed an economy rate of just 3.5 in the series opener (four overs) and picked up the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant in the process.
  • Kieron Pollard's (West Indies) 49 off 49 balls in the 1st T20I goes down as his joint-third highest score in the format; it was also only the second time in T20I cricket that he's been dismissed LBW, the previous instance also occurred at this venue.
