Both MI and DD have 8 points each from 9 matches. The latter is placed higher (5th) than their opponents (7th) with a better net run rate.
DD's highest paid player Yuvraj Singh is still to score big in the tournament. He was bought at this year's auction for a whopping Rs 16 crore. Captain JP Duminy is backing the left-hander and is expected to retain his place.
Recent record puts MI as favourites for today's contest. With home support to bank on, MI hold the advantage. At the Wankhede Stadium, MI have beaten DD 3 times and lost once.
