IPL 2023: Mohammed Siraj flashes 'middle-finger' in dressing room celebration after RCB vs LSG match - WATCH

Tensions flared in the IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday (May 1) as Virat Kohli was involved in a verbal spat with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir at the Ekana Stadium.

The entire episode started in the 17th over of LSG innings batting, when Kohli and Naveen exchanged some words. Even LSG mentor, Gautam Gambhir, joined in the spat and the players - who have had a history of on-field confrontations - too had some argument. All the players, including Kohli, were seen dancing with joy and singing the RCB team song as the team gets closer to the playoff spot in IPL 2023. Kohli also couldn't hide his satisfaction after the victory and stated that the win has come at a very crucial time for the team. "That's a sweet win boys! sweet win, Let's Go!," he screamed in ecstasy after the win.

The video also showed other players in the RCB dressing room dancing in celebration as they avenged the defeat against LSG. RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj - who was also seen angered during the match with Naveen-ul-Haq - showed the 'middle finger' in the video while showing his Cristiano Ronaldo celebration.

He stated, "The win was great and the fact that we got more support than the home crowd is an unbelievable feeling, it tells you all about how much we are liked as a team and how people come out and back us."

Kohli and Gambhir were later fined 100 per cent of their match fee for the ugly on-field altercation and breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. Naveen was also penalised 50 per cent of match fees."

Mr Gambhir admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct and has been fined 100 per cent of his match fee. Similarly, Mr Kohli admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct and has been fined 100 per cent of his match fee.

"Mr Naveen-ul-Haq, on the other hand, has been fined 50 per cent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore," the IPL statement further said.
