Both sides qualified for the rounds after finishing top of the table with Qalandars (14 points) winning seven of their 10 games with Multan Sultans right behind them at 12 points.

For Qalandars, the onus of scoring runs also falls on the likes of Sikandar Raza, Shafique Abdullah, and Kamran Ghulam, with the latest finding his spot back in the line-up after drop in form of Mirza Tahir Baig. Hussain Talat has also scored runs in the middle-order off late while the likes of Rashid Khan, and Shaheen Afridi have shown strength with the bat as well.

The duo's role with the ball remained pivotal as they have taken 19 wickets together this PSL. The Afghan spinner, in fact, was the one to change the fortune of the side as since joining he has taken 15 wickets in just seven games.

Also in form is pacer Haris Rauf, who has taken nine wickets in the last five games, helping the side pick wickets when Shaheen didn't click. Their understudy Zaman Khan has also made a case for himself with 12 wickets.

However, it's the pace strength of Multan Sultans that has everyone's attention with Abbas Afridi (22 wickets) and Ihsanullah (20) leading the Green Cap race. Usama Mir, however, is not exactly a like-for-like match for Rashid Khan but has 12 wickets to his name this season as the team's third-highest wicket-taker.
