The Proteas bowlers had no answers to their controlled batting. New Zealand did lose a couple of quick wickets to Senuran Muthusamy, who impressed on debut, including the well-set Conway just three runs short of a deserved century. However, Williamson completed a 14th career ODI century, and would remain unbeaten as Glenn Phillips joined him in guiding New Zealand over the line. Kane Williamson is the well-deserved Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the bat.
