SIX! Kasun Rajitha to Scott Kuggeleijn. Slower ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs.

That was a real innings of two halves in Auckland. Sri Lanka started superbly, taking four wickets in the powerplay and leaving the hosts struggling at 55/5 at the 10 over mark. However, the Black Caps came back firing with some late brutal hitting by Doug Bracewell and Scott Kuggeleijn to leave things beautifully poised at Eden Park.

SIX! Thisara Perera to Doug Bracewell. Back of a length, outside off stump moves in front pulling, well timed in the air under control over fine leg for 6 runs. Bracewell knew exactly what was coming here with mid on and mid off up in the circle. The length has to be short and he's camped on the back foot waiting for it.

OUT! Caught. Ish Sodhi to Kasun Rajitha. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to leg gully, by Seifert.

New Zealand have beaten Sri Lanka by 35 runs at Eden Park in the Only T20I to leave the tourists without a win all tour. In the early stages of the game that looked improbable as the Kiwis crashed to 55/5 halfway through their innings. Lower order cameos from Doug Bracewell and Scott Kuggeleijn launched the hosts up to a healthy if not daunting total in Auckland. In response, Sri Lanka made their approach clear from the start with the top order playing as many shots as possible. They were losing regular wickets yet still looked in control until a sublime 13th over by Lockie Ferguson where he took two wickets, including the explosive Thisara Perera, and conceded just two runs. That proved to be the decisive turning point as the Black Caps mopped up the tail with ease. New Zealand's next assignment is some white-ball cricket at home against India, whereas Sri Lanka have the tough prospect of a tour of Australia.

OUT! L.B.W. NOT OUT changed by umpire to OUT after REFERRAL. Ish Sodhi to Dasun Shanaka. Leg spinner length ball, to leg on the front foot working, hit pad to. What drama at Eden Park, the home crowd is really rocking now. Sodhi is convinced this is plumb but the umpire is unmoved. Southee asks for the review and ball tracking brings up three reds. Lovely bowling by the leggie, things aren't looking good for Sri Lanka now.
