  • Bangladesh have won only one of their 15 men’s T20Is against Pakistan away from home (L14), with that sole win coming at Hangzhou in the 2023 Asian Games Men’s Cricket Competition.
  • This will be just the second game between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the men’s T20I format of the Asia Cup, with the Bangla Tigers winning the only prior such fixture in 2016 by five wickets; this will be the first men’s T20I between the two sides in the UAE.
  • Bangladesh have won three of their five games at the 2025 Asia Cup so far (L2); a win against Pakistan will see the Bangla Tigers register four wins in a multi-team men’s T20I format for the first time ever.
  • Pakistan have lost four of their last six men’s T20Is at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with neither of their two wins in this span coming against full-member sides (against UAE and Oman respectively in the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup).
  • Pakistan have held on to 19 of their 22 catching chances at the 2025 Asia Cup, with their catch success rate of 86.4% being the highest of any side in the competition; indeed, only Bangladesh (4) have effected more run outs than the Shaheens (3) in the competition so far.
  • Bangladesh conceded just 96 runs outside the powerplay (overs 7-20) in their most recent match against India at an economy of 6.9, making it their first instance of conceding runs at an economy lower than 7 in any game in the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup; they also conceded only 33 runs at an economy of 8.3 in the slog overs (overs 17-20), their best rate in last eight such instances in this format when bowling in this phase of the game.
  • No batter has scored more runs from singles in 2025 Asia Cup than Bangladesh’s Towhid Hridoy (56) and Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan (45); Farhan has also played the most dot balls of any batter in the tournament (70).
  • Saif Hassan (Bangladesh) has hit 10 boundary sixes in 2025 Asia Cup, including five in his previous game game against India; he is just the second Bangladesh batter to hit 10+ sixes in a men’s T20I series after Tamim Iqbal (14 in 2016 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup).
  • Haris Rauf (Pakistan) has taken at least two wickets in each of his last four men’s T20Is at Dubai International Cricket Stadium; he has never taken multiple wickets against Bangladesh in the format and his bowling strike rate of 27.4 against the Bangla Tigers is his second lowest such rate against any opponent in men’s T20Is (South Africa – 27.5).
  • Mustafizur Rahman (Bangladesh) has bowled at an economy of 5.5 in men’s T20Is since the start of 2025, the best such rate of any bowler from a full-member side (min. 10 overs bowled); this rate reduces to 5.3 outside the powerplay (overs 7-20) with him conceding at an economy of six or lower in this phase in nine of his 12 innings this year.
