  • 19.6

Tim Southee to Asif Ali. Yorker, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Taylor.

A couple of very good knocks paved the way for a decent total put on the board by Pakistan. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez batted brilliantly in a partnership of 94 and they prevented New Zealand from being able to capitalise on some good early pressure. A score of 166 is going to be tough for New Zealand to chase, especially with the spin options that the hosts have in their disposal. Should be a good chase though if the big hitters get going.

  • 19.1

FOUR! Tim Southee to Mohammad Hafeez. Full toss, wide outside off stump moves in front sweeping, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Brilliant batting. Hafeez knows exactly where the ball was going to be bowled and he was in position early to capitalise.

  • 18.4

OUT! Caught. Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep square leg, by Ferguson. Selfless innings from the experienced Malik. Trying to go big every ball but on this occasion the timing was fractionally off which turned into a simple catch in the deep.

  • 18.3

FOUR! Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Off cutter short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Malik has had to wait ages for the ball to reach him. It was a short slow ball which barely got to the batsman. Malik did brilliantly to wait and wait and eventually pull it around the corner.

  • 18.2

Colin de Grandhomme to Mohammad Hafeez. Off cutter short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Phillips.

  • 18.1

FOUR! Colin de Grandhomme to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, middle stump down the track driving, well timed in the air under control past long off for 4 runs. Extremely clever batting. Using the feet to get to the pitch and lifting it over mid off with such ease.

  • 17.2

FOUR! Seth Rance to Mohammad Hafeez. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Vacant cover region which Hafeez spots and lifts the ball into.

  • 17.1

  • 16.6

Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Half volley, middle stump down the track driving, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Southee.

  • 16.5

Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Length ball, off stump down the track Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket for 2 runs, dropped catch by Phillips. Oops. What should have been a simple catch in the deep turns into a bit of a shocker for Phillips.

  • 16.4

FOUR! Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Off cutter short, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, well timed past third man for 4 runs. Make that four more. Short, wide and extremely slow. Malik chops it as he jumps in the air and manages to create enough power to reach the rope.

  • 16.3

FOUR! Colin de Grandhomme to Shoaib Malik. Back of a length, middle stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Poor line and help yourself bowling from de Grandhomme.

  • 16.2

Colin de Grandhomme to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, to backward point for 1 run, fielded by Taylor.

  • 16.1
Lockie Ferguson c Sarfraz Ahmed b Waqas Maqsood 1 (3)

OUT! Caught. Colin de Grandhomme to Babar Azam. Off cutter half volley, down leg side backing away driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Southee. Finally Babar Azam mis-times one and he picks out Tim Southee down the ground. It was good bowling from de Grandhomme cramping him for room and Babar wasn't able to get a good swing of the bat through the ball.

  • End of Over 16
Over 16. 6 runs. Bowler: Usman Shinwari. New Zealand: 113/8 (rr 7.06)
  • 15.6

Lockie Ferguson to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot flick, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by de Grandhomme.

  • 15.5

FOUR! Lockie Ferguson to Babar Azam. Short, outside off stump backing away cutting, well timed in the air under control past third man for 4 runs. Everything Babar Azam tries seems to be paying off. At one point Rance thinks the catch is on but at the last minute the ball drops on him and he ends up in no man's land. The game looks to be slipping away from the Kiwis.

  • 15.4

Lockie Ferguson to Babar Azam. Half volley, outside off stump backing away driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Seifert.

  • 15.3

FOUR! Lockie Ferguson to Babar Azam. Leg cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Attempted slower bouncer but the line is all wrong and Babar helps himself.

  • 15.2

Lockie Ferguson to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg cutter length ball, off stump backing away dropped, to short extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Southee.

  • 16.5
    Seth Rance b Waqas Maqsood 1 (2)

OUT! Bowled. Waqas Maqsood to Seth Rance. Off cutter length ball, to leg backing away Slog, missed to.

Full and straight and that does the trick. The debutant finishes off the game for Pakistan and they sweep the series 3-0. Comprehensive victory for the home side but at one point New Zealand were in a very good position with Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips at the crease. It all fell apart though in the space of four overs as New Zealand lost eight wickets for 23 runs. Not the way the visitors would have wanted to end the series as they move onto the ODIs.

  • 16.4

Waqas Maqsood to Ish Sodhi. Off cutter length ball, to leg on the front foot pushing, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

  • 16.3

FOUR! Waqas Maqsood to Ish Sodhi. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past long off for 4 runs. Sodhi has some freedom to swing the arms and he clears the inner ring perfectly.

Waqas Maqsood to Seth Rance. Length ball, down leg side on the back foot pushing, to cover for 1 run, fielded by Khan.

OUT! Caught. Shadab Khan to Ross Taylor. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. Oh dear. It is all going wrong for New Zealand in a short space of time. Taylor is now on his way after edging one through to the keeper. Another brilliant piece of work behind the stumps from Sarfraz.

Tim Southee Run Out Faheem Ashraf 0 (0)

OUT! Run Out. Shadab Khan to Ross Taylor. Leg spinner length ball, to leg on the front foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf, by Ahmed. A team hat-trick and another run-out. It is all going downhill very quickly and Southee is the latest to go, wanting to come back for the second before Taylor sent him back.

  • End of Over 14
Over 14. 5 runs. Bowler: Imad Wasim. New Zealand: 103/6 (rr 7.36)
  • 13.6
    Tim Seifert b Imad Wasim 0 (1)

OUT! Bowled. Imad Wasim to Tim Seifert. Quicker length ball, outside off stump on the back foot defending, bottom edge to. Two in two. Fired in at the stumps and Seifert doesn't pick the length quickly enough. Golden duck for the keeper and the Kiwis are in all sorts of bother.

  • 13.5
Mark Chapman st Sarfraz Ahmed b Imad Wasim 2 (3)

OUT! Stumped. Imad Wasim to Mark Chapman. Quicker length ball, down leg side down the track Slog, hit pad to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. An early move by Chapman but some fantastic work from Sarfraz. He was blinded by the batsman moving down the track and also had a deflection off the pad to deal with but the ball stuck in the gloves. Superb from the Pakistan keeper.

  • 13.4

  • 12.4
    Glenn Phillips b Shadab Khan 26 (24)

OUT! Bowled. Shadab Khan to Glenn Phillips. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the back foot working, inside edge to. Two wickets for Shadab in the over and both set batsmen are back in the shed. Phillips was looking legside and turned the bat too much, meaning he couldn't use the full face to connect with the ball. Sarfraz is pumped right now.

  • 12.3

Shadab Khan to Mark Chapman. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot working, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

  • 12.2
Kane Williamson c Babar Azam b Shadab Khan 60 (38)

OUT! Caught. Shadab Khan to Kane Williamson. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Azam. You cannot keep Babar Azam out of the game today. Easy catch down at long on but an important one with Williamson looking in sparkling touch. Maybe one shot too many with the bat twisting in his hands.

  • 12.1

Shadab Khan to Kane Williamson. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump down the track Steer, to short third man for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

  • End of Over 12

  • 11.6

SIX! Usman Shinwari to Glenn Phillips. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Clubbed and that is a brutal hit from Phillips. Bowled right in the slot and the batsman was not going to miss out.
