Peshawar Zalmi have no fresh injury concerns leading into the game and will like to go into the game with full power with a playoff spot at stake.

Little to worry about opening spots

Peshawar Zalmi's top order appears to be their prime strength ahead of the crucial game with Babar Azam and Saim Ayyub batting in full swing.

The duo has been batting together over the last two games and had a stand of 269 runs combined (162 and 107). Azam scored 115* after a 50 against Lahore while Ayyub has been the aggressor with knocks of 68 and 74 while striking at the rate of 202.85 in the two innings.

Ayyub's improvement in form came at a good time when he has been struggling at No. 3 while Mohammad Haris was demoted down the order.

Haris's form remains a concern with a series of poor shows but he hasn't lost his spot in the line-up yet due to a lack of domestic options.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Rovman Powell provide stability in the middle order and the overseas duo has been scoring runs at an alarming strike rates of 200-plus.

The side has further pinch-hitting backups in wicketkeeper Haseebullah Khan, and allrounders Azmatullah Omarzai and Aamer Jamal.

Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who took three wickets in the last game, couldn't sustain his form and went for 44 runs in four overs.

Zalmi bowling unit recovering from Jason Roy onslaught

Peshawar Zalmi bowling was in for a rough night less than 48 hours ago with Quetta Gladiators' opener Jason Roy treating spin and pacers alike in what was the biggest chase of 241 in the history of PSL.

The English batter slammed 145 in just 63 deliveries as the huge target was chased by the 19th over.

There was no respite on the offer for any bowler on a flat Rawalpindi track with Aamer Jamal going for 56 runs in his full quota of overs while Arshad Iqbal conceded 55 in just three overs.

Senior pacer Wahab Riaz, who took 3/17 in the last game, gave away 56 runs in return for a wicket. Mujeeb Ur Rahman (1/38) was the most economical bowler at rate of 9.50.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Multan Sultans ahead of the big game while their top order has been firing runs as well and must be looking forward to batting on the Pindi track.

Rizwan is the leading run-getter this tournament as the sole batter with 400-plus runs while Shan Masood finally scored a substantial knock of 75 in the last game after failing to convert his good starts into something meaningful.

No. 3 Rilee Rossouw may lose his spot in the 11 after not firing enough in the last three games. His compatriot David Miller has been complacent as well with 20 runs in the last three innings.

However, burly Australian Tim David is not going anywhere after his spitfire knock of 60 runs off just 27 balls.

Kieron Pollard is available further down the order as another big hitter and has been in good form off late. Pollard didn't bowl in the last game but took a 2/16 in the game against Lahore Qalandars before that while scoring a 28-ball 39.

Ihsanullah continues wicket-taking spree

Green cap holder Ihsanullah's wicket-taking form continues with 18 wickets in eight games and delivered a 2/35 spell against Islamabad United. Anwar Ali was furthermore influential with a 3/33 spell and now has five wickets in two games.

Another young pacer Abbas Afridi increased his tally of wickets to 13 with a dismissal as well while spinner Usama Mir (2/38) also stretched his wicket tally to 11.

Despite such wicket-haul, Multan Sultans still conceded the game as the likes of Muhammad Ilyas and Abbas leaked more runs than desired as Islamabad chased down 206.

Rawalpindi's Pindi Stadium pitch remains a batting paradise with 200-plus being scored a regular basis. However, Rashid Khan showed the other night in Lahore Qalandars' win over Islamabad United that there is value for spinners on the wicket and skippers may prefer having a wrist spinner in their team for the game.
