Sanath Jayasuriya's cricket career spanned an impressive period from 1991 to 2007, during which he made significant contributions to the sport. His time on the field showcased his skills and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on the game.

Sanath Jayasuriya is known for his contributions to Sri lankan cricket as an all-rounder, performing well as a Left Handed batsman and a Left Arm Orthodox bowler. Throughout his career, he scored 6,973 runs, with a batting average of 40.07. In addition, he took 98 wickets at an average of 34.35.

During his ODI international career, Sanath Jayasuriya scored 13,430 runs with a batting average of 32.36. He also took 323 wickets at an average of 36.75. His contributions with both bat and ball played a significant role in the success of the Sri lankan cricket team.
