It is just about staying in check and he is happy it worked. On whether he wanted to bowl four overs on the bounce, he says generally he would have wanted to, but they came into the game with only two seamers. He needed an over at the backend to help out Shadley. For him it is always about what the team needs rather than what he needs, and he is happy to do anything the team needs. On doing well for St Lucia, he says it is his second home. His mom is from St Lucia and the rest of her family are too. They are in the crowd right now screaming, and he is happy to perform in front of them.He thanks the crowd for coming out to support, apologises for the few games before, and says he will try to make up for them in this one. On confidence in chasing the target, he says they have added Tim Seifert and Obus Pienaar to the batting line-up. So they think they can chase anything as long as they do the basics right. There is a lot of planning that goes behind it, and no target should be big enough for them.

From Russell's spark to Carty's calm - Then enters Andre Russell, who dragged the innings forward to 112 before departing in the 14th over. It still wasn't enough, but at least the visitors could see a ray of light to post a good total, and that is exactly what happened. It was Keacy Carty who truly rescued the innings, anchoring from one end for a composed 50 off 44 balls. Odean Smith chipped in with a brisk 27 off just 15, including a huge six, as the pair added crucial late impetus. Matthew Forde was outstanding with the ball for Saint Lucia Kings, snaring a superb 5-wicket haul, while a spectacular run-out off the very last ball capped a dramatic finish.

Kings off to a flying start - Jamaica Kingsmen were sent in to bat and endured a torrid start, losing Kirk McKenzie and Saim Ayub inside the first two overs to slip to 3/2. Things barely improved as the innings wore on, as Usman Khan and Rovman Powell both fell with the score frozen on 40, leaving Jamaica in real trouble inside the powerplay. Hassan Khan and Keemo Paul, the in-form batter, tried to rebuild but couldn't kick on either, falling at 54 and 71 respectively, and it looked like Jamaica were staring at a total well below par.

A tale of two halves - A rollercoaster of an innings, isn't it? The first 10 overs were simply outstanding from the Kings' side. They have played so many matches in their home stadium and for that reason, they know every bit of the conditions in the back of their hands. However, it was the second half of the first innings where the tide took a turn and Jamaica Kingsmen ended up posting a formidable total of 169 runs on the board.

He felt a bit dizzy after bowling his third over, but he is good now. On losing five wickets in the Powerplay, he says it is very difficult. When five main batters are out in the first six overs, it is chaos and a recipe for disaster, and that happened tonight. Credit to the guys who stuck it out and gave them a fighting total of 170. On whether the collapse was due to conditions, he says as a batting group they just did not bat. They came from a good wicket where they could hit from ball one, and that put them on the back foot very early. Credit has to be given to Matthew Forde who bowled really well in the powerplay. On Keacy Carty, he says he is someone they look to for anchoring the innings, and fortunately tonight he did that. On the bowling performance, he says they had a poor game in all disciplines. They did not bat properly and did not bowl properly. They had plans as a bowling group and thought 170 was a fighting total and needed a few early wickets.

POTM - Matthew Forde wins the award for his sensational bowling display, picking up 5 for 23. Forde says this is the biggest crowd they have had in the league and says thank you to the crowd adding that they owe it to them, and he is really happy to get a victory today for them. He says for him it is about sticking to that 6-8-metre length and there are games where it is not going to work, but if it works three out of five games, it is about keeping himself in check for the other two and staying grounded, trusting the process and his abilities. There is so much planning that goes on behind the scenes, and he is really happy to see some of those plans work and come out today with a victory. He adds that St Lucia is his second home and he loves it here. It is the only place he would rather be other than Barbados. His family is here and his dad is in the stands as well. He gives a shout-out to him for being there for every game. He is getting goosebumps now because there is no better feeling than playing at home in front of your own people. Whether it is a bad performance or a good one, if he dwells on it at night, by morning it is about what he is going to do again to get better.
