Sabbir Rahman to Temba Bavuma. Leg spinner back of a length, off stump on the back foot pushing, to mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Mahmudullah.

End of the afternoon session. Bangladesh have done quite well in those two hours. They have restricted the runs, and picked up a couple of wickets too. South Africa still in the driving seat though with almost 500 runs on the board. Lets hope the rain stays away and we can get the rest of the overs in today.

The pitch is definitely starting to take more turn. It is quite slow though, so the batsmen have been comfortable against it. Might be more difficult as the game goes on though.

OUT! Caught. Keshav Maharaj to Shafiul Islam. Stock length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to slips, by Amla.

Maharaj takes his third and the final wicket of the Bangladesh innings. Pitching around off stump and gripping enough to find the edge to slip. Bangladesh won't be happy with how they batted at the end after putting themselves into a solid position with multiple big partnerships. Unfortunately nobody went on to score the big runs which was required to get closer to the total. The two South African openers will now come out to bat with a lead of 176 and plenty of time but the surface is beginning to offer a touch for the spinners.

  • 86.3

Kagiso Rabada to Mustafizur Rahman. Yorker, off stump on the front foot defending, to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Morkel.

  • 86.2

OUT! Caught. Kagiso Rabada to Mehedi Hasan. Bouncer, outside off stump on the back foot Fended, thick edge in the air uncontrolled to gully, by Elgar. Bounced out in the first over after Tea. Accurate short ball which Mehedi can only fend off and he gifts the easiest of catches to Elgar. On the money straight away.

  • 85.6

Morne Morkel to Shafiul Islam. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by de Kock.

South Africa's session as the players walk off for Tea. It all started off well for Bangladesh with partnerships all throughout the order, in fact it was the first time Bangladesh have had 50+ stands for third, fourth, fifth and sixth wickets in a Test innings. But just before Tea they started to lose wickets and they are now left eight down and still trailing by 188 runs. The Proteas openers will now have their minds on batting again and taking their lead out of Bangladesh's sight.

Kagiso Rabada to Shafiul Islam. Short, outside off stump on the back foot Fended, to leg gully for no runs, fielded by Elgar.

  • 55.6

SIX! Mehedi Hasan to Keshav Maharaj. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Much better connection. Down the wicket once again but he got to the pitch and slammed it into the crowd.
That also brings about the declaration from Faf. Bangladesh will require 424 to win in one and a half days. The Proteas bowlers will be fresh after plenty of rest and the overcast conditions will help them swing the new ball. This is going to be tricky for Bangladesh but they showed enough in the first innings to show that they can bat for long times. Join us after this short interval.

OUT! Caught & Bowled. Keshav Maharaj to Mustafizur Rahman. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, mis-timed in the air under control back to bowler, fielded by Maharaj.

There it is! The final wicket for South Africa on an extremely dominating morning, taking seven wickets in the space of 17 overs. Bangladesh have been poor and played some bad shots which will disappoint them after four days in which they have competed and had an outside chance of getting a draw. It will come back to the toss though which they won and decided to bowl first on what turned out to be a very good batting wicket.
Once South Africa were inserted they stamped their authority with Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla making big runs. Since then they have always been on the front foot and with a good bowling attack to back them up a win was easily in their sights. Bangladesh might have to make changes in the second Test along with South Africa who will need to bring in another bowler after Morne Morkel pulled his side and is ruled out. Join us on Friday at Bloemfontein.

Well it keeps going from bad to worse. Mehidi decides to run through for the third but his partner is a bit slow off the mark.
