  • South Africa and Sri Lanka have shared the spoils across the two previous multi-game bilateral T20I series played out between these sides (1-1).
  • Sri Lanka have lost five of their last seven T20I fixtures (W1 T1); although one of those games officially ended in a tie, the Lions suffered defeat in the subsequent one-over eliminator (19th March 2019).
