SRH vs RR: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) treated a packed home crowd of 31,118 to a breathtaking batting spectacle as Travis Head blasted his way to a flamboyant fifty, turning the clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) into a run-fest.
The stands were a sea of orange, and every stroke from Head's bat only added to the electric atmosphere inside the stadium.

Head's milestone moment came in style during the eighth over, when Nitish Rana's gentle length delivery outside off stump was punched down to long-off for a single. That run brought up his half-century in just 21 balls, sending the home crowd into a frenzy. The Australian opener had been toying with the bowlers, especially punishing Jofra Archer with a blistering sequence of 4, 6, 0, 4, a wide, followed by two more boundaries.
Just before raising his fifty, Head showcased his class against Rana, elegantly driving a flighted delivery over extra cover for four. The Royals bowlers had no answers to his relentless aggression.
Head not only brought up his fifty but also produced the longest six of the night - a monstrous 105-metre hit off Fazalhaq Farooqi, which sailed over deep mid-wicket and landed in the second tier. The ball disappeared into the Hyderabad night sky, drawing gasps from the crowd before the entire stadium erupted in cheer. This colossal strike added to the growing misery of RR bowlers and reminded everyone of Head's raw power and timing.
While Head grabbed the limelight, Ishan Kishan played a perfect supporting role, finding boundaries with ease. Kishan's quick start included back-to-back fours off Theekshana and a couple of well-placed boundaries off Sandeep Sharma. His unbeaten 31 off 15 balls kept SRH's momentum going.
The highlights of the powerplay were simply breathtaking:
Sandeep Sharma's short spell was filled with frustration as his over went for 12 runs, including boundaries from both Kishan and Head. Even Nitish Rana's only over was the least expensive at nine runs but still included a punishing four from Head.
Former cricketer RD commented, "Yesterday RCB scored 80 runs in the powerplay and today SRH scores 94. Surely this season's going to be a cracker! Try to think about the plight of the bowlers!"
Srinath also weighed in, observing, "Sandeep should have bowled in the powerplay," a sentiment many RR fans echoed as the bowlers struggled to contain the SRH onslaught.
