  • 19.6

Dwayne Bravo to Thisara Perera. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, to long on for 2 runs, fielded by Hetmyer.

51 runs from the final five overs has launched Sri Lanka up to 155/6 in this Second T20I against West Indies in Pallekele. The hosts were floundering for large parts of the innings with Fabian Allen and Oshane Thomas keeping things especially tight with the ball. Only some late walloping from Dasun Shanaka and Thisara Perera has kept Sri Lanka in with a chance of levelling the series. The tourists will be confident though, it looks a decent pitch, the outfield is fast and they bat deep.

  • 19.5

Dwayne Bravo to Dasun Shanaka. Slower length ball, down leg side on the front foot sweeping, to fine leg for 1 run, fielded by King.

  • 19.4

SIX! Dwayne Bravo to Dasun Shanaka. Full toss, down leg side on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control over deep square leg for 6 runs. Bludgeoned into the stands, this is the late flourish that Sri Lanka so desperately needed. Shanaka is the man to get the fans on their feet.

  • 19.4

  • 19.1

FOUR! Dwayne Bravo to Dasun Shanaka. Full toss, to leg on the front foot driving, well timed past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. That's a great start to the final over, Shanaka able to drag this into the gap with force. A rare poor delivery from Bravo.

  • 18.6

Andre Russell to Thisara Perera. Off cutter short, down leg side backing away cutting, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Pooran.

  • 18.5

Andre Russell to Thisara Perera. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket for 2 runs, fielded by Bravo.

  • 18.4

SIX! Andre Russell to Thisara Perera. Full toss, off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. The crowd have been waiting a long time for this, it's the first six of the night. Stand and deliver, sheer muscle from Thisara. A couple more of those and the hosts will feel good about the total.

  • 18.2

Andre Russell to Thisara Perera. Off cutter short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by Powell.

  • 18.1

  • 17.6

FOUR! Dwayne Bravo to Thisara Perera. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. Brutally clubbed, that's where Thisara is really strong. A wry smile from Bravo, he did well to get out of the way because that was nailed back towards him.

  • 17.5

Dwayne Bravo to Thisara Perera. Full toss, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to long off for 2 runs, mis-fielded by Pollard.

  • 17.4

Dwayne Bravo to Dasun Shanaka. Slower length ball, down leg side down the track working, to fine leg for 1 run, fielded by King.

  • 17.3

FOUR! Dwayne Bravo to Dasun Shanaka. Off cutter length ball, down leg side on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. That's an ugly swipe but it does the business for Shanaka, splitting the men in the deep.

  • 17.2

  • 16.3

FOUR! Sheldon Cottrell to Dasun Shanaka. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front Scoop, well timed in the air under control past fine leg for 4 runs. This is more like it, just what Sri Lanka need. Shanaka innovates and the ball skips quickly to the rope.

  • 16.2

Sheldon Cottrell to Thisara Perera. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Powell.

  • 16.1

OUT! Caught. Sheldon Cottrell to Wanindu Hasaranga. Slower length ball, outside off stump moves in front flick, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep square leg, by Hetmyer. Easy catch for the man in the deep and we get to see the trademark military send-off from Cottrell for the first time tonight. He ran his fingers across the ball as he released it and that caused Hasaranga to be through the shot way too early.

  • End of Over 16
Over 16. 15 runs. Bowler: Lasith Malinga. West Indies: 149/3 (rr 9.31)

  • 16.6

SIX! Angelo Mathews to Andre Russell. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep square leg for 6 runs. That's how you finish a match. Dre Russ take a bow, sublime hitting to seal a resounding victory.

West Indies have beaten Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in Pallekele to seal the T20I series 2-0, coasting to their target tonight with three overs to spare. Brandon King got the chase off to a rapid start with a career best 43, while Shimron Hetmyer anchored the tourists with a composed 43* of his own. Andre Russell will be the man to take the headlines though, his 40* came from just 14 balls and included six towering sixes forcing spectators to duck for cover. The hosts were a touch unfortunate this evening as they lost Kusal Perera and Wanindu Hasaranga to injury in the field. Even so, their performance wasn't good enough against a team that will be one of the favourites in the upcoming World T20 in Australia. The top order batsmen wasted promising starts and the bowlers couldn't maintain pressure for long enough. West Indies deserving winners then, superb in all departments and a fantastic effort after their lacklustre display in the ODIs. Kieron Pollard lifts the trophy and the tour comes to an end.

  • 15.6

SIX! Lasith Malinga to Andre Russell. Length ball, middle stump Deep in crease Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Russell v Malinga is a clash of the titans and it is the Jamaican who is bossing the battle. Another one soars miles into the crowd, effortless destruction from the big man.

  • 15.2

SIX! Lasith Malinga to Andre Russell. Off cutter half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. The sixes just keep on raining down in Pallekele, superman Dre Russ is showing no signs of stopping the chaos. Even the great Malinga is powerless to prevent it. Never before has power been so stylish.

  • 15.1

Lasith Malinga to Shimron Hetmyer. Off cutter half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Mendis.

  • 14.6

SIX! Thisara Perera to Andre Russell. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. My goodness, that is a monster blow by Russell. Even by his lofty standards that has gone a long way. I think we will need a new ball because that one has disappeared down the road. West Indies coasting towards a 2-0 series win.

  • 14.5

  • 13.6

SIX! Lahiru Kumara to Andre Russell. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Hard, flat and six more. Ferocious striking by the big allrounder, all of a sudden the required rate drops below a run a ball.

  • 13.5

SIX! Lahiru Kumara to Andre Russell. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. In the slot, you can't bowl there to Russell because he will smash you all night long. The ball seems to go into orbit for a brief moment before landing in the stands.

  • 13.4

Lahiru Kumara to Shimron Hetmyer. Slower ball short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to deep backward square leg for 1 run.

  • 13.3

Lahiru Kumara to Shimron Hetmyer. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot pushing, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Mathews.

  • 13.2

Lahiru Kumara to Shimron Hetmyer. Half volley, down leg side on the front foot working, to backward square leg for 2 runs, fielded by Sandakan.

  • 13.1

FOUR! Lahiru Kumara to Shimron Hetmyer. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Hetmyer has been out there a while so he's used to the pace of the pitch and can take on Kumara. It was in the air for a long time and always drifting away from the fielder.

  • End of Over 13
Over 13. 10 runs. Bowler: Dasun Shanaka. West Indies: 106/3 (rr 8.15)

  • 12.4
Rovman Powell c Shehan Jayasuriya b Dasun Shanaka 17 (17)

OUT! Caught. Dasun Shanaka to Rovman Powell. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep square leg, by Jayasuriya. Oh wow, that is something special from Jayasuriya. The third umpire will take a look but I think he is okay. Powell thought he had enough on it to earn six, the fielder had other ideas. He plucked it from the sky, tumbled backwards and had the clarity of mind to throw it up and retake the catch while on the floor. Spectacular effort, Sri Lanka not giving up without a fight.

  • 12.3

Dasun Shanaka to Shimron Hetmyer. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Fernando.

  • 12.2

FOUR! Dasun Shanaka to Shimron Hetmyer. Slower ball half volley, to leg on the front foot Slog, well timed past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Hetmyer takes the tourists into three figures with a belligerent wallop. He looks determined to see West Indies to victory tonight.
