Rachin Ravindra played a blinder of 37 in just 15 balls before Karn Sharma picked his wicket. Daryl Mitchell (22) and Ajinkya Rahane (27) were dismissed by Cameron Green, but Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube stitched a crucial partnership to take the home team over the line.
With the victory, CSK's new captain Ruturaj Gaikwad starts his IPL captaincy journey on the right note. Also, CSK extended their winning record over RCB at the Chepauk as they registered their 8th consecutive victory in a row.
