Celtic's manager, Brendan Rodgers, expressed satisfaction with his team's resilience after they managed a 1-1 draw against Club Brugge in the Champions League. The match saw Celtic fall behind due to an unusual own goal by Cameron Carter-Vickers in the 26th minute. However, Daizen Maeda equalised in the 60th minute, leading Rodgers to describe the match as having two distinct halves.
Rodgers acknowledged that Celtic's performance improved significantly in the second half. "First half not so good, second half much better," he told TNT Sports. He noted that Celtic were passive initially but made tactical adjustments that improved their pressing and attack sustainability. This change allowed them to be more courageous and determined throughout the latter part of the game.

Despite not reaching their 10-point target for knockout phase qualification, Celtic remain optimistic. They currently hold eight points and are positioned 20th in the league phase of the Champions League. Rodgers was encouraged by his team's determination against a strong opponent, stating, "It's a really good point against a good side and we'll take that into our next game."
Celtic have three remaining matches in this phase. Their next challenge is an away game at Dinamo Zagreb, followed by hosting Young Boys at Celtic Park early next year, and concluding with a visit to Aston Villa. They are currently on an unbeaten run of three games in the Champions League, matching their longest streak from December 2008 to October 2012.
Rodgers remains confident about Celtic's prospects despite facing tough competition. "We're on eight points, nine to play for," he said. He emphasised that while Club Brugge might seem like an easier opponent compared to Leipzig and Atalanta, they possess more experience at this level.
Rodgers highlighted the importance of maintaining focus as they approach these crucial fixtures. He believes that with continued effort and strategic play, Celtic can achieve their goals in this competitive tournament phase.
