Robinson's higher education was completed at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she studied Journalism and Broadcasting. During her university years, she also played beach volleyball at the university level in the United States.

Robinson made her international debut in 2014, competing for the United States against Germany. The match took place during an international tournament in Montreux, Switzerland. Since then, she has become a key player for her national team.
