Kaur took up archery in 2018 after initially training in shot put. She was inspired by other students practising archery at her school. Her father, Bhagwan Singh, played a significant role in her early training despite having no formal training in archery himself.

Training and Coaching

Kaur trains at the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur. She is coached by Baek Woong Ki at the national level and Lim Chae Woong at her club. Her father remains a crucial part of her support system, often travelling to watch her compete and offering tips for improvement.

Career Highlights

Kaur made her debut at the 2023 World Cup in Antalya, where she finished 9th in both individual and team events. She also secured a bronze medal in the team recurve event at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games and the 2023 Asian Championships.

Recent Performances

In the 2024 season, Kaur ranked 33rd in the first two stages of the World Cup and improved to 17th in the third stage. She also participated in the Women's Individual Ranking Round on 25 July 2024, finishing with a commendable performance.

Kaur is scheduled to compete in the Women's Individual 1/8 Elimination Round on 3 August 2024 at Invalides. She will face Diananda Choirunisa from Indonesia. This match is highly anticipated as both archers have shown great skill and determination.
