Jadhav made his Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games. He achieved two national bests during this event. His eighth-place finish in the men's team event, alongside Atanu Das and Tarundeep Rai, is the highest for an Indian men's archery squad. Additionally, his sixth-place finish in the mixed team event with Deepika Kumari equals India's highest finish in any archery event.

World Championships

At the 2019 World Championships in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, Jadhav secured a silver medal in the men's recurve team event. He also finished 17th in the individual recurve event.

World Cup Performances

Jadhav has participated in multiple World Cup stages. In 2024, he ranked 33rd in Stage 1 and 17th in Stage 2. His performances have varied over the years, with notable rankings including ninth place finishes in both individual and team events in 2016 and 2021.

Recent Competitions

In July 2024, Jadhav competed in the Men's Individual Ranking Round at Invalides. The event featured participants from countries such as Mexico, Kazakhstan, China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, and India. The competition concluded on 25 July 2024.

On 1 August 2024, Jadhav participated in the Men's Individual 1/32 Elimination Round against Kao Wenchao from China. Unfortunately, Jadhav lost the match with a score of 0-6.

Men's Team Event

The Indian men's team, comprising Pravin Ramesh Jadhav, Tarundeep Rai, and Atanu Das, ranked fifth in the Men's Team Ranking Round held on 25 July 2024. The team competed against Türkiye in the quarterfinals on 29 July 2024 but lost with a score of 2-6.

Background and Early Life

Jadhav hails from Sarade, Maharashtra. As a child, he accompanied his father on day labour jobs on farms. Encouraged by his teacher to join a state-run residential sport programme, he initially trained as a track and field athlete before switching to archery in 2013.

Despite initial struggles with holding the bow's weight, Jadhav proved his worth by shooting five arrows under pressure to retain his spot at the training centre. His journey from a farm labourer to an international archer is inspiring.

Future Plans

Jadhav trains with the Services Archery Team and Army Sports Institute in Pune under coach Sonam Tshering Bhutia. His hobbies include going to the gym and cars.
