In the Men's Individual 1/32 Elimination Round on 30 July, Dhiraj faced Adam Li from Czechia. Dhiraj won with a score of 7-1. Later that day, he competed against Eric Peters from Canada in the 1/16 Elimination Round but lost narrowly with a score of 5-6.
Dhiraj also competed in the Men's Team Quarterfinal on 29 July. The Indian team faced Türkiye and lost with a score of 2-6. The event took place at Invalides and was finished as scheduled.
The Indian team ranked fifth in the Men's Team Ranking Round held on 25 July. Teams from countries like Türkiye, Mexico, Colombia, France, and Kazakhstan also participated.

Dhiraj's career highlights include an eighth-place finish in the Men's Recurve Team event at the 2023 World Championships in Berlin. He also secured ninth place in both the Men's Recurve and Mixed Team events at the same championship.
In the World Cup series of 2024, Dhiraj finished ninth in Stage 1 and seventeenth in Stage 2. His best performance came in Stage 3 where he secured third place. In the previous year’s World Cup series (2023), he achieved third place in Stage 1 and seventh place in Stage 2.
Dhiraj's father introduced him to archery at age four. He studies at SRR & CVR Government Degree College in Vijayawada and trains at the Army Sports Institute in Pune and Volga Archery Academy in Vijayawada. His national and club coach is Sonam Tshering Bhutia.
Dhiraj's father pawned family gold to buy a bow for youth world championship trials in 2017. Though he placed fourth and did not qualify, he caught the eye of the Olympic Gold Quest Programme and the Army Sports Institute.
Dhiraj aims to represent India at Paris 2024. His achievements include winning a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games with teammates Atanu Das and Tushar Prabhakar Shelke. This was India's best result in team recurve events.
Dhiraj made his world championship debut in 2023 where he placed ninth after losing to Ricardo Soto from Chile in the fourth round. He also achieved his first World Cup podium finish by winning a bronze medal in Antalya, Türkiye in 2023.
