Commentary
In a nail-biting last-over thriller, Mumbai Indians edged Gujarat Titans by 5 runs and claimed their second win of the season. It was the second loss on the trot for Gujarat.
Gujarat had a century stand in the run chase of 178 as Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha slammed brilliant half-centuries.They attacked every Mumbai Indians' bowler and kept the asking rate in check. However, things went sideways for the Titans as they lost three wickets in quick succession.

With 9 required off 6, GT had their best finishers - David Miller and Rahul Tewatia - but Daniel Sams and some brilliant captaincy from Rohit Sharma helped MI emerge victoriously.

Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma played fine cameos with the bat but failed to convert them into big knocks, courtesy of fine bowling from the Titans.

Gujarat Titans will face Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2022 match on Friday (May 6) and they have a very contrasting goals in front of them.
The GT under Hardik Pandya are still the table toppers with 16 points and another win against MI will push them irrevocably close to the playoffs with 18 points.
They would not want to miss that opportunity after missing a chance against Punjab Kings while dishing out a vastly underwhelming effort.
MI under Rohit Sharma had registered their first win of the IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals and they would want to add a few more before their campaign comes to an end in IPL 15.
Probable Playing XI:
Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (wicketkeeper), Sai Sudarshan, Hardik Pandya (captain), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Pradeep Sangwan / Yash Dayal.
Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (captain), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Tim David, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard, Hrithik Shokeen, Daniel Sams, Kumar Kartikeya, Riley Meredith, Jasprit Bumrah.
