Bengaluru, March 22: In India, if there is anything apart from its vibrant festivals which brings together the whole populace, regardless of the immense cultural diversity, that's undoubtedly Cricket!

And, the Chinese mobile handset manufacturer, OPPO has been quick to realise this and has always ensured that it's able to aptly capitalise on the same. OPPO, the "Selfie Expert & Leader", has not only taken the market by storm with its innovative and stylish handsets, but has also created quite a flutter when it earned the coveted sponsorship of the Indian Cricket team.

Not only for better selfies, the F7 also showcases the power of AI in smartphone systems management for processing and power efficiency.

Prior to the launch of F7, OPPO has been running a contest on its social media handles, wherein users are asked to identify the cricketers behind the smartphone. The announcement of the OPPO F7's launch was made via the Twitter handle of OPPO India, which boldly read: "Make way for the all-new #OPPOF7 now with an awesome notch screen. Can you guess who the Indian cricketer is behind the phone?"

The consecutive two posts from OPPO also followed a similar pattern, quizzing its followers to guess the "mystery Indian cricketer" and get themselves geared up for the launch of the brand new OPPO F7.

Later, these cricketers were revealed to be none other than Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin, as the brand ambassadors for F7. Since the new OPPO F7 prides itself in its high-class performance and stylishly bold looks, these cricketers were the perfect pick for OPPO to depict its brand voice.

Talking of performance and style, the F7 is a perfect blend of both. The finishing details of F7, exhibiting an industry-first notch-screen, surely set new standards in precision engineering. Inside, the F7 hosts the latest Color OS 5.0 operating system, based on Android 8.1. This implies a fresh interface designed for better visual experience. And on top, AI Facial unlocks the phone in just 0.08 seconds. Users can choose the power-packed OPPO F7 from a variety of three different color choices-Solar Red and Moonlight Silver-suiting their personality.

Since cricket is worshipped as nothing less than a religion in India, this move would definitely help the company connect with the youth and offer experiences beyond just the product.

Being a comparatively new entrant into this densely populated market, OPPO has been smartly able to carve its identity in a relatively shorter span of time.

Formerly in 2016, the brand collaborated with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to become the official global partner for four straight years. During April, last year, OPPO followed it up with a partnership with the BCCI for five years. The brand is now the Official Sponsor of the Indian National Cricket Team, which shows its solidarity with the country and its passion for cricket.

It is expected that associating with Indian cricket and cricketers once again for the launch of OPPO F7 will enable the company to capture mindshare, leveraging a sport that is followed and consumed by millions across the country.
