OUT! Bowled. Bilal Asif to Trent Boult. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track Slog, missed to. That's a classic tailender's shot to bring the innings to a close, leaving Watling stranded on 77. Boult has only been in the middle for a few minutes but already wants to try something ambitious, aiming a big heave over mid wicket. He swipes at thin air though and the ball cannons into the stumps to give Bilal Asif his fifth wicket of the innings. Fantastic bowling by the offspinner.

New Zealand have done well this morning to reach 274 all out. BJ Watling was left unbeaten on 77 from an incredible 250 balls as he expertly negated the threat of the spinners in a knock of endurance and grit. Bilal Asif kept Pakistan in the game with his second Test five-for, leaving this match pretty evenly balanced after one innings.

OUT! Caught. Bilal Asif to Ajaz Patel. Off break length ball, down leg side on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Shafiq. Edged and taken this time, Babar Azam breathes a sigh of relief as his drop in the previous over doesn't cost too much. It's a lovely delivery from Bilal to get his fourth victim of the innings, forcing the left-hander to play with a straight line from over the wicket. Ajaz is drawn into a prod forward but the ball rips across him to catch the edge and loop to Shafiq at slip. Watling will have to go up the gears now as Boult strides out to the middle.

OUT! Caught. William Somerville to Sarfraz Ahmed. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot flick, to mid wicket, by Raval. Sarfraz desperate to get back on strike, tried to make a single out of nothing, and ends up chipping it straight to mid wicket. Tame way to go, and that means Pakistan will only have a first innings lead of 74. Interestingly the same as the first Test in this series, and we all know how that match ended.

When Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were at the crease, it was expected that the hosts would be getting up towards 500. In true Pakistan fashion, they capitulated out of nowhere. Last seven wickets conjured up just 62 runs, and now this game is back in the balance. Can the Kiwis carry on the momentum into their batting? Or will Pakistan strike back with the ball?

OUT! Bowled. William Somerville to Hasan Ali. Off break length ball, off stump no foot movement defending, missed to. Wonderful bowling from the debutant! Fizzed out the hand, Hasan Ali predicts some turn, but it doesn't come. Goes on with the arm, past the outside edge, and it crashes into middle and off. From a position of real strength, Pakistan are crumbling. Game on.

OUT! Run Out. William Somerville to Sarfraz Ahmed. Off break yorker, off stump on the front foot flick, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by de Grandhomme, by Somerville. Oh my. It wouldn't be cricket if we didn't have a Pakistan run out. Sarfraz clips the ball into the legside, and charges back for the second run. It was risky, and even more so when Yasir lost his boot when turning back. That little slip cost him. Throw from the deep goes to the correct end, and Yasir isn't in the picture. Sarfraz is distraught.

There comes the call. Williamson gets his troops back in after some fun and frenzy this morning. Plenty of big blows from everyone throughout and they lead by 279. Pakistan just couldn't stem the runs and now the game is pretty much lost. It is going to be a case of batting it out for the draw from now on but can New Zealand grab victory and an infamous series victory?

OUT! Caught. Ajaz Patel to Hasan Ali. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, leading edge in the air uncontrolled to point, by Williamson.

How fitting that the captain takes the winning catch. Straight up into the air and New Zealand take a famous victory to win the series 2-1. Their first series win in Asia for a decade and their first away series victory over Pakistan in 49 years. An all round team effort with the batsmen standing up when it was required and then the spinners played their part, along with Tim Southee. Debutant Will Somerville finished with seven wickets in the match while Ajaz Patel also chipped in with five of his own. A special mention also to the Kiwi coach who gets his first win in charge.
Pakistan were just not up to the challenge today and they will be disappointed to send Mohammad Hafeez off with a loss. A brilliant career though and one with many other happier memories.

Well that is the end of a long tour. Both sides had positives to take out of it with New Zealand taking the Test series while Pakistan dominated the white ball part. Big tours upcoming now with New Zealand going back home while Pakistan travel to South Africa. See you then.

FOUR! Ajaz Patel to Hasan Ali. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, well timed past deep cover for 4 runs. Fraction of width which Hasan pounces on. Four runs but New Zealand have plenty to play with.

OUT! Caught. Ajaz Patel to Babar Azam. Stock length ball, off stump down the track Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Southee. That is the wicket New Zealand have been searching for. It doesn't represent how well Babar has batted but unfortunately he has to go. A horrible slice across the ball but a very smart catch from Southee. Looking over his shoulder and into the sun and he made it look incredibly simple.
