FOUR! Mashrafe Mortaza to Quinton de Kock. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, well timed past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Wacked through mid wicket, de Kock finishes the demolition job in suitable style. What a runchase, what a partnership. Amla and de Kock embrace after a record-breaking day in Kimberley.

At the halfway point today, it seemed as though Bangladesh were in with a chance of getting some revenge over South Africa after the humiliating Test series. Mushfiqur Rahim played a high class knock, becoming the first Bangladesh batsman to score a century against the Proteas in ODIs. Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla had other plans though, and put on an exhibition in ODI batting to make 282 without loss. The former was at his destructive best, peppering the boundary at all parts of the ground in making a dominant 168 not out. The latter was forced to play second fiddle, but that suited the understated right-hander whose workmanlike 110 not out was equally pleasing to view. Records tumbled with regularity towards the end and it was tough to keep up with them all. South Africa's highest ODI partnership for any wicket and the highest total to be chased down without loss were just two of the highlights today in Kimberley. What a statement by the hosts, really laying down the marker for the rest of the series which continues on Wednesday from Paarl.

FOUR! Mashrafe Mortaza to Quinton de Kock. Slower length ball, off stump on the front foot flick, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Is that game over? Not quite, the third umpire says the ball landed just inside the rope.

Mashrafe Mortaza to Quinton de Kock. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control to long on for 1 run, dropped catch by Hossain. This just adds insult to injury for the tourists. De Kock reckons he can clear the man at long on but doesn't quite have the muscle, Nasir should swallow the catch but inexplicably makes a hash of it.

APPEAL! Taskin Ahmed to Hashim Amla. Short, outside off stump on the back foot glancing, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Das, appeal made for Caught. Half an appeal but nothing serious from the fielders. Amla normally walks if he's hit it and he is going nowhere fast.

SIX! Mashrafe Mortaza to Quinton de Kock. Off cutter length ball, middle stump moves in front slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over deep square leg for 6 runs.
