Hockey World Cup Winners List

The Odisha's Bhubaneshwar and Rourkel hosted the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 between January 13 and 29 in 2023. Germany emerged as the champions by defeating Belgium in the final. The Netherlands' who won silver medal in Bhubaneswar four years back, settled clinched a bronze medal. 16 top hockey teams in the world participated in the competition and fans witnessed some enthralling contests on the turf. The FIH Men's Hockey World Cup is being held every four years since its inception in 1971 when Pakistan emerged as champions after beating hosts Spain in the final. Pakistan went on to win the tournament on three more occasions to become the most successful team in the Hockey World Cup history.
 
Netherlands - who were the champions of the second edition of the Hockey World Cup by defeating eight-time Olympic gold medallists India in the finals - have lifted the trophy three times along with Australia.
 
Germany have lifted the trophy thrice  while Belgium have had their hands on the silverware two-time.
