Renato Sanches could move to Manchester United

Portugese midfielder Renato Sanches could join Manchester United on loan for the season, claims Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Munich, July 25: Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches's club career at the Bavarian outfit has been under scrutiny for a long time.

Many reports suggested that the German club have already listed the Portuguese up for sale or loan as the manager Carlo Ancelotti is trying to off-load the misfit midfielder from the club.

Sanches signed for Bayern last summer from Benfica after an impressive Euro Championship with Portugal and equally good season with Benfica.

Since his move to Germany, the youngster has struggled to maintain his form and has subsequently been linked with a move away from Bayern.

European giants AC Milan have been a strong contender for the 19-year-old for a loan deal but recent reports suggest that Europa league winners Manchester United have also joined the race for the Portugese midfielder.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Sanches' talent and previously cited that if he had the power, he would have made him a United player before Bayern's capture.

And now igniting the very point, the Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti in a recent interview has admitted that the midfielder could move to Manchester this Summer, most likely with a loan deal.

Ancelotti said: “At this time, he's training with us. We have to make a decision. A move could be a possibility but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season."

The Bundesliga winning manager also talked about his other midfielder maestro and another long-term target of Manchester United Arturo Vidal.

However, this time the 58-year-old reacted in a negative approach and insisted that the Chilean will not be leaving the club at any cost this summer.

“For Vidal, there is no way [he will move to United]. He's our player and I have a lot of confidence in him."

“I know there are rumours and we're used to rumours. He'll stay with us 100 per cent - I'm confident about that."

Bayern Munich will face Premier League champions Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Today (July 25) and after their thumping 4-0 defeat against AC Milan in the last friendly, the Bundesliga champions will certainly be hoping to regain winning momentum in that match.
