The South African tail made them wait, but India have secured a big victory to go 1-0 up in the series. They were the standout performances for the hosts, that helped them dominate this Test. The visitors did have good patches, especially in their efforts with the bat. Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock both making centuries of their own. It wasn't enough for South Africa, though, and they will have to improve in a few areas to close the gap between the teams for the next Test, which starts on Thursday.
