  • IPL: BCCI earned earned Rs 107.5 crore per game from the television and live streaming of the matches in the Indian subcontinent. In the IPL 2024 Auction, Australia star pacer Mitchell Starc was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping bid of Rs 24.75 crore. Interestingly, Starc is worth 84 Crore in Pakistani Rupees.

Australia's ODI World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore.

In the PSL 2024 Draft, the players placed in the Platinum Category draw a salary of a maximum of $170,000, which translates to about INR 1.41 crore. Top players in the PSL such as Naseem Shah, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Rilee Rousow, Sherfane Rutherford, Muhammad Rizwan, and David Willey are some of the players in the Platinum category.

  • The total team purse in the IPL Auction 2023 was a whopping Rs 900 crore for all 10 teams.
  • Pakistan Super League is a tournament that still follows a draft system.

  • The winner of the IPL 2023 was Rs 20 crore, while the prize money for the winner of PSL is Rs 3.5 crore.
