The Indian Premier League (IPL), recognized as the world's most lucrative franchise-based domestic T20 competition, continues to set new records each season.
The remarkable success of the IPL has significantly enriched the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), serving as an inspiration for other cricket boards to launch their own T20 leagues in the future.

Subsequently, a few years later, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) introduced its own domestic T20 tournament, the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Nevertheless, it is important to note that the IPL remains the preeminent T20 cricket league globally, leading in terms of revenue generation, player salaries, and prize money. IPL vs PSL: Comparison of Prize Money, Revenue, Ranking, Players Salary and Other Differences
