Akash Vasisht Biography

Born on 17 December 1994 in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh Akash Vashisht is an Indian cricketer who plays for Himachal Pradesh domestically and Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League. Vashisht is regarded as a quality lower-middle-order batsman who bats with great intent and is useful as a part-time bowler. A good player of spin, the young boy from Himachal is a great left-hand option for teams.
Vashisht made his domestic T20 debut for Himachal in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his List A debut in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. After two years of steady display, the left-handed batsman finally made a noteworthy performance in the 2022-23 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. From switching from a lower-order hard hitter to a perfect finisher Vashisht has had a stellar tournament. He was the top scorer for Himachal in the tournament. Vashisht scored 216 runs at a strike rate of 163.63 in the T20 competition. His most notable knock came against Bengal when he scored a match-winning 76 off 42 balls in a chase of 200 in the Quarterfinals.
His actions did not go unnoticed and soon after the tournament, he was picked up by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2023. He was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals at the Base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs and 2023 edition will be his first IPL.
