Hrithik Shokeen IPL Profile

Born on 14 August 2000, Hrithik Shokeen is an Indian cricketer who represents Delhi in the domestic circuit and at the Indian Premier League, he is part of the Mumbai Indians franchise. He is a right-arm off-break bowler and is known for his intelligent variation of pace. He is also a livewire in the field and a handy batsman lower down the order. Hailing from Delhi, he was a student of renowned coach, the late Tarak Sinha, who trained Indian international like Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, etc.

Shokeen made his debut for the Delhi U-19 side and U-23 side in 2019. He was also included in India's squad for Bangladesh's 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. But he managed to earn his List-A debut for India, against Nepal, in the Emerging Teams Cup on November 14, 2019. After impressing in the List-A games for India, he made his first-class debut for Delhi in 2022 against Assam.

His potential was noticed by Mumbai Indians who picked him ahead of IPL 2022 for Rs 20 Lakhs. The Mumbai-based franchise is known for nurturing young talents and Shokeen was given ample opportunity in his debut campaign. The Delhi boy featured in five games for MI in IPL 2022. He picked up two wickets and scored 43 runs in the process. For his impressive display, he was retained for the IPL 2023 season as well, handing him another valuable prospect to learn from the best in the business.
