His wave of success at the international stage attracted the attention of IPL too as Ngidi was bought by the Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL season. His IPL career hasn't been as significant as his international career as the pacer played seven games for CSK in his debut season. He was ruled out of IPL 2019 with an injury and was an utility players for the next two season, playing just seven games in total.
He was subsequently released by CSK ahead of the mega auction and was bought by the Delhi Capitals at his base price of INR 50 lakh in the 2022 IPL Auction.
