Rajan Kumar is an Indian cricketer who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He was born on July 8, 1996 in Haridwar. Kumar is a left-arm fast-medium bowler who bats left-handed. He was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 70 lakhs at the IPL 2023 Player Auction.
Rajan Kumar plays domestic cricket for Uttarakhand and only plays White ball (T20s & List A) formats of domestic cricket. He made his T20s debut on 11 October 2022 in the match of Railways vs Uttarakhand at Rajkot. He made his List A debut on 12 November 2022 in the match of Odisha vs Uttarakhand at Mumbai. However, he is yet to make his First-Class Cricket debut.
Kumar showed an early interest in cricket, and his parents supported his passion by enrolling him in a local cricket academy when he was just six years old. He started showing his talent with both bat and ball and started playing for school and local clubs. Kumar is an effective medium-fast bowler and is quite dependable while batting as well.
