- Pakistan have won five of their last six men’s T20Is games against South Africa including their last three on the bounce, the only game wherein the Proteas registered a win in this period was on 12 April 2021 by six wickets.

- Heinrich Klaasen is set to lead South Africa for the eighth time in the men’s T20I format and for the first time since 16 April 2021; his win percentage of 28.6% as a Proteas skipper (P7 W2 L5) in the format is the second least and only behind Quinton de Kock (27.3%) among players to have led the side at least four times.
