Juventus announced on Monday (July 24) that they have bagged 23-year-old Bernardeschi, one of Europe's most promising attacking talents, for a transfer fee of 40 million euros ($46.60 million), which will be paid to Fiorentina in three financial years.

Fiorentina will receive 10 per cent of any future sale, up to the value of five million euros ($5.82 million).

English clubs Chelsea and Manchester United had also been heavily linked with the player, who scored 13 goals in the 2016-17 season.

A product of Fiorentina academy, Bernardeschi has played three seasons for his childhood club.

He is known as a creative and technically gifted player who can play in multiple attacking positions.

The Italy international concluded the 2016/17 Serie A campaign with 11 league strikes, becoming the youngest player in the country's top flight to rack up a double-figure goal tally.

"Possessing a blistering change of pace, quick feet and a magic wand of a left foot, Bernardeschi is one of those players that will make Juventus fans rise from their seats when he collects the ball in the final third," Juventus said in their website.

There are also reports that Bernardeschi will wear the iconic jersey No.10 for Juventus, the record Italian champions.

According to Italian media reports, Bernardeschi will get a salary of four million euros ($4.46 million) per season.

He is Juventus' fourth signing of the summer after winger Douglas Costa, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and versatile full-back Mattia De Sciglio.
