Manchester, August 1: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho appeared to take a dig at his Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte's hair transplant treatment as the war of words between the two managers gears up for the new season.

The United boss was furious with Conte after the later told his Chelsea players to avoid a “Mourinho season" following their title triumph last year.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea just months after lifting the Premier League trophy in 2015 with the club struggling in the bottom half of the table and by 'Mourinho season', Conte definitely meant that.

"Two years ago Chelsea finished 10th. That cannot happen again," Conte said.

"We know the difficulty and for sure we want to avoid the Mourinho season with Chelsea.

"The coaches of the previous two champions [Chelsea and Leicester] both lost their jobs [the next season] and we are working very well to find the best solutions and use them."

Well, you simply cannot get away with a cheeky jibe on someone like Mourinho who himself is the master of the art. The 'Special One' took no time to take a dig at Conte.

"I could answer in many different ways but I am not going to lose my hair to speak about Antonio's comments," Mourinho said.

Conte had to struggle with balding problems during the finals years of his playing career but underwent hair transplant surgery later to bid goodbye to baldness. Mourinho once again showed why he is still the 'Special One' not just on the pitch but away from it as well.

Manchester United confirmed the acquisition of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea yesterday (July 31) as Mourinho reunited with his former Chelsea midfield destroyer. However, the war of words between the managers could certainly hamper the relationship between the two clubs in the future.
