London, August 4: It has been a frustrating transfer window for Liverpool thus far. The Reds have managed to sign just three players this summer including club record signing Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andrew Robertson.

The Reds remain to be linked with their primary targets Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita but the chances of these deals happening look bleak right now.

Amidst a frustrating transfer window, the French media has come up with an exciting news for the Liverpool fans as they claim that the Reds are looking to make the most dramatic hijack deal in a long time.

According to top French publications, Jurgen Klopp has been in regular contact with AS Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe and is looking to shock the whole of Europe with a move for the 18-year-old.

Mbappe has been a man in demand throughout the summer with a number of European giants looking for his signature but Monaco have slapped a huge £161 million on their man which has even made Real Madrid back off to some extent.

Real Madrid, the reigning champions of Europe, still remain favourites for Mbappe as not many clubs have what it takes to pay such a large sum for just one player, but Liverpool certainly have to flex their financial power to do the deal.

Liverpool fans have voiced their concerns over their owners Fenway Sports Group time and again for not spending enough, however, bringing Mbappe for a world-record fee would certainly be a massive statement from them.

The Liverpool fans, however, will hope that Liverpool do not have to fund the Mbappe transfer by selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a similar amount.

There have been continuous reports surfacing at Anfield that Liverpool will make a signing that would blow away the Premier League and with Klopp in regular contact with Mbappe, the wonderkid could certainly be that mystery man.
