Born on 23rd April 1994 Prerak Mankad is an Indian cricketer who plays for Saurashtra in the Indian domestic circuit and Lucknow Super Giants in Indian Premier League. He is a right-handed batsman who is known for his explosive style of play and ability to score runs quickly. He is also a utility medium-pace bowler and a brilliant fielder which makes him a valuable asset on the cricket field.
After performing brilliantly for the Saurashtra cricket team in Under-19 and Under-22 formats, he made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the start of 2016. He did not find a chance to bat but managed to claim 2 wickets for 27 runs in his four overs contributing to his team's win. In the very same season, he made his Ranji Debut against Mumbai scoring 66 runs in his first innings. He has been very consistent for Saurashtra over the years and is a regular member in all three formats for them. However, he came under the spotlight during the 2018–19 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after scoring the most runs for his side. Mankad scored 212 runs in six matches.
After looking at his domestic showings, he finally got a shot in the grandest stage of the Indian Premier League in 2022. During the mega auction, he was bought by the Punjab franchise. However, he managed to muster just one game in that edition before being released from the side.
