Shivam Singh IPL Profile

Shivam Singh was born on November 18, 1996, in Kaimur, located in the northern Indian state of Bihar. He plays domestic cricket for Bihar and is part of the Punjab Kings team in the Indian Premier League. He plies his trade as a right-handed batsman and also bowls off-spin.

His cricketing skills came into the limelight when he made his first-class debut for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the early part of 2022 during the Ranji Trophy. He made a memorable mark by scoring his first professional century, knocking 110 runs against Mizoram on January 10, 2023.

Shivam's significant career opportunity came when the Punjab team selected him during the 2022 auction for the 2023 Indian T20 League. Shivam Singh registered his name in the IPL 2022 auction for his base price of INR 20 lakh. The Mohali-based franchise recruited his services for his base price. He was retained by the franchise for IPL 2024 season. 

He began 2023 on a high note by hitting his first domestic century against Mizoram. Despite his reputation as a limited-overs player, he proved his versatility and technical skills by scoring 110 runs off 323 balls, demonstrating his ability in longer formats of the game. Although he didn't play in the 2023 season of IPL, he continued to refine his skills diligently.

In the 2023 Tamil Nadu T20 League, Shivam was one of the top buys at the auction. He played a crucial role for Dindigul, helping them reach the playoffs with 356 runs in 9 matches. His impressive performances ensured that Punjab retained him for the 2024 season, and he also made his first-class debut at the start of that year.
