Vidwath kicked off his professional and first-class cricket career playing for Karnataka against Puducherry on March 3, 2022. He then made his debut in the Twenty20 format against Maharashtra on October 11, 2022, and followed up with his List A debut against Meghalaya on November 12, 2022.
