
Bengaluru, August 5: India left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja reached the milestone of 150 Test wickets on the third day of the second Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo on Saturday (August 5).
Jadeja became the fastest left-arm bowler to reach the mark in 32 Tests, two more than former Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson. Bill Johnston (35) and Alan Davidson (37) are behind the duo.
However, he is the second fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in Tests behind teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who took 29 Tests for the mark.
Former South Africa offie Hugh Tayfield and former Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal too took 29 matches for the mark.
Australian leg-spin duo Shane Warne and Stuart McGill reached the 150-record in 31 Tests. The fastest to the mark is former Australian leg-spinner Clarie Grimmet - 28 Tests.
