LONDON, Ausgust 5: Galatasaray have signed Brazilian midfielder Fernando from Manchester City on a three-year contract for a fee of 5.25 million euros (4.73 million pounds), both clubs announced .
Fernando, who joined City from Porto in 2014 and made more than 100 appearances for the Manchester club, heads to Turkey after being used sparingly by manager Pep Guardiola last season.

"The League Cup success of 2016 was a highlight for me and something I will never forget."

He helped City to League Cup success in 2016, playing five times en route to the trophy, including 76 minutes of the final at Wembley against Liverpool.
City's Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, added: "Fernando has been an excellent servant for City. He is a dedicated professional and a player who has made a significant contribution throughout his time here.
"I am sure he will continue to prove his quality for years to come."
